Giant Balloons are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

In this policy, we explain how any personal data collected from you or provided by you, is processed by our company. This accords with the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). 

 

We collect and process details when a customer :

-     registers a new account on our website,

-     places an order on our site

-     submits an online query.

-     converses with a member of staff through our Live Chat system


When a customer makes an order, we ask for the following information:

- First name and last name

- Address (including post code)

- Email address

- Telephone number


We need that information to dispatch your order, and/or to contact you if there are any problems or issues with your order. 


Payment Sense, our credit/debit card payment process asks for the following information in order to process your order:

- Your name

- Your address as registered with your bank.

- Your card number (encrypted).

This information remains securely stored by Payment Sense. We don't use or attain any of this information for any other uses.


We keep a record of all written correspondences including, letters, emails, Live-Chat dialogue and telephone calls. The customer also has the choice to do this, particularly for Live-Chat dialogue, which can be emailed directly to the customer.


If you would like us to change or delete any information we hold, please email us at sales@giantballoons.co.uk. If you would like to be informed about the information we hold, making a subject access request, you can do this via the same email address. We will send you relevant information within a month since request.

We may also ask you to complete surveys that are conducted for research purposes, although you are not obliged to contribute to them.

While transactions take place on our site, you will be asked to provide certain information regarding your delivery and billing addresses as well as your telephone number and email address in order to process your order and send relevant dispatch confirmation to you efficiently.


The lawful basis under which process the data:

- With your explicit permission through a check box when placing an order.

- when you email us with any details or amendments to your order.


If there is a data breach, we will notify the ICO, if it is likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals - for example, if it results in discrimination, damage to reputation, financial loss, loss of confidentiality or any other signifiant disadvantage. 

Your visits to our site, including traffic and location data and statistical information regarding the pages and resources that you access is recorded and monitored. This information is not individualised and is completely anonymous, forming part of general statistical data.
